In recent years, Uzbekistan has made significant reforms to improve the business and investment environment and has been among the top 20 countries that have made the most progress in improving the business environment.

According to the statement made by the World Bank Tashkent Office, Uzbekistan got 7 places in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Index to 69th place.

Uzbekistan was among the top 20 countries in the World Bank's Doing Business Index, which made the most progress in improving the business environment.

4 major reforms that allow Uzbekistan to be among the top 20 countries that have made the most progress in improving the business environment; protection of investors, taxation, international trade rules and facilitate the implementation of commercial contracts.

In Uzbekistan, the government aims to be among the top 20 countries in the Doing Business Index by 2022. To this end, the government has set the objectives of the “Roadmap” and ‘’Ease of Doing Business-2022’’.

In 2014, Uzbekistan ranked 146th in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index.
