The Holy Quran was given as an eternal and great miracle

The previous prophets used their material miracles in their period. But even with their deaths, all their miracles were gone. Because their prophecy depends on particular people, a particular place, and a specific time.

To Muhammad peace be upon him, the Holy Quran was given as an eternal and great miracle. Because his prophecy will last for all the people, places and time, until the Judgment Day. That is why the Quran is given as a fundamental miracle, spiritual and immortal miracle, not a material.

Even after his death, his miracle - the Quran, will be alive until the Judgment Day. That is why when the polytheists and disbelievers ask for a miracle confirming his prophethood, they came across the Quran.

Great miracles to the other prophets were simple matters for Muhammad peace be upon him. There are accounts of this in the hadith books. But since these things became more common and repeated, there was no major uproar.

When the prophethood of Muhammad peace be upon him came on, prophets' coming was to end. He is the last brick of the castle of prophethood. Allah with Rasulullah peace be upon him perfected the castle of prophethood and closed the door of it.
